This is a wonderful guilt free snack. Taste and texture are wonderful. It has helped having these around, so I'm not tempted to buy higher calorie/fat snacks. I think they're just as good as the friend ones.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great baby food - buy somewhere else, February 19, 2011

Even I think that this baby food tastes good. My 9 month old agrees. I love that the ingredients are literally sweet potatoes, pumpkin, apples, and blueberries. The only ingredient not in the title is lemon juice. No crazy preservatives or other ingredients. The problem is the company that is selling them on Amazon. Don't take it out on Ella's. You can find it MUCH more reasonably priced on diapers.com, or at Target. I agree w/ another reviewer that the Plum organics baby food is also good, and a little cheaper, but this is still a staple in our son's diet.

5.0 out of 5 stars misleading, December 28, 2010

I think some of the other reviewers are reviewing the price and not the product. This product is terrific, and currently it is less than $2 per pouch. My baby loves this flavor even though I was not sure when I read all of the fruit/vegetables that are in it. She eats it up every time! The product is great, you decide on the price when you are buying!

...I don't have any human children. I purchased organic baby food...for my beloved pet cat. Yes, I know it strange, but I thought, "Well, why not?" ...After all, if I'm going to be spending money on baby food, why not spend it on the best product I can buy?

I add baby food to my cat's food for extra fiber, because my cat is fat. Plus you can't beat the antioxidant goodness found in these baby food pouches. My cat eats her food with more gusto if I mix it into her food, and tends to not eat as much as before. She misses her teaspoon of Ella's if I don't mix it into every meal.

By the way, it is the best baby food I've ever eaten. I always sneak a teaspoon or three when I'm fixing up my cats food.

4.0 out of 5 stars Best overall organic bar, March 26, 2008

This review is from: Raw Revolution Organic Live Food Bars, Heavenly Hazelnut Chocolate, 1.8-Ounce Bars (Pack of 12) (Grocery)
I've tried most of the organic bars on the market to date. I consider the "Organic Food Bar" brand to be the gold standard, and I've enjoyed them for years. The Raw Revolution bars are proving to be just as good, and they are considerably cheaper. At the moment, Amazon is tied for the cheapest price I've seen for Organic Food Bars: 0.97 cents/ounce.
Amazon has the cheapest price I've seen for Raw Revolution bars: 0.60 cents/ounce! That is over a 30% difference. Its 1.31 for a 2.2 oz bar. Retail is 1.99/bar; and that is what they are on the Raw Revolution website, too.

I love the taste; it had not occurred to me that some folks wouldn't like them until I read some of the reviews here. Then again, it is easy for me to learn to like foods that are healthy. Both of these bar lines seem high in fat to me (my dieting Mom won't eat them), but it is all healthy fat. I would like to see more of a Zone diet ratio (more protein). They could have a bit less sweet for my taste,... Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars NOT a granola bar!, July 9, 2006
By
JKC45 (DeKalb, IL United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Raw Revolution Organic Live Food Bars, Heavenly Hazelnut Chocolate, 1.8-Ounce Bars (Pack of 12) (Grocery)
I bought one box each of the raspberry/chocolate and hazelnut/chocolate bars looking for a healthy aternative to the grocery store granola bars that contain high fructose corn syrup. Somehow, I thought they would have a granola bar type of texture, but they aren't even close. My first reaction was that they had an unpleasant smell and funny aftertaste - but that was my first reaction to beer, too, and I managed to get over that. They are definitely an adult, acquired-taste kind of snack. Now I look forward to having one as a mid-afternoon snack, depending on what I've already eaten or plan to eat that day, because they are a fairly high calorie (276), high fat (15g) little treat. Probably their best contribution to one's overall diet is the protein (7 grams or 13% DV).

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than I expected!, February 27, 2007
By
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
These bars are quite good actually. They are chocolatey and you can taste the coconut and nuts, but they are not sickeningly sweet like most coconut & chocolate bars. Plus they are moist and the size of the bar is just right. If you are expecting a candy bar type item you will be disappointed - this is not dipped in chocolate, rather the chocolate is mixed right in. But if you're looking for a healthy snack that energizes you without the sugar burnout you get from other 'energy' bars then these are worth a try. I am quite pleased with them and am going to order some more.
