2.0 out of 5 stars These don't work so well, June 13, 2012

I was really excited to buy these for my 1-year old! We want him to get experience with coloring, and these are totally organic and fine to eat. (We're not planning to feed them to him but he does put everything in his mouth.) They arrived today and I have to say I'm quite disappointed - the crayons may be edible and organic, but they don't color very well. They are very faint on the page, and just not so colorful. We'll keep trying, but for almost $14.00, I was expecting a better product.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing expeience, August 6, 2012

I was really excited to find a more natural option than crayola crayons but these crayons turned out to be really disappointing. I didn't expect then to be as good as the real deal but they just don't color well. The color comes out very light and you have to press really hard to get anything to show. Oh well. My search continues for a better crayola substitute.

3.0 out of 5 stars Edible veggie crayons, October 9, 2012

I like these very much- they are cute and appealing- but be warned- the colors are very light, and somewhat similar. Not a lot of vibrant color or contrast here. I also bought my daughter a 12-pack of baby color crayons, which are not edible, but have great colors and she enjoys using very much. The edible ones are not bad, but not great either.

5.0 out of 5 stars Maggies functional wool mountain socks, December 14, 2010

These socks, which I first got at Whole Foods, are amazingly warm and comfortable. No itch, no wetness. Very cushioned, so great for running or for walking on pavement.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love these winter socks, September 19, 2011
I got these socks first at a local food co-op and have loved them ever sense. I used to only have those cheap thin socks you can get at target or whatever and would always want a new pair of socks every day. With these I can go many days and they still feel good and they breath so they don't get gross as fast. I love wearing them around the house too as they are almost thick enough to wear as slippers!

4.0 out of 5 stars Best overall organic bar, March 26, 2008
By
Wasatch Bill (Wasatch Mountains, Utah) - See all my reviews

I've tried most of the organic bars on the market to date. I consider the "Organic Food Bar" brand to be the gold standard, and I've enjoyed them for years. The Raw Revolution bars are proving to be just as good, and they are considerably cheaper. At the moment, Amazon is tied for the cheapest price I've seen for Organic Food Bars: 0.97 cents/ounce.
Amazon has the cheapest price I've seen for Raw Revolution bars: 0.60 cents/ounce! That is over a 30% difference. Its 1.31 for a 2.2 oz bar. Retail is 1.99/bar; and that is what they are on the Raw Revolution website, too.

I love the taste; it had not occurred to me that some folks wouldn't like them until I read some of the reviews here. Then again, it is easy for me to learn to like foods that are healthy. Both of these bar lines seem high in fat to me (my dieting Mom won't eat them), but it is all healthy fat. I would like to see more of a Zone diet ratio (more protein). They could have a bit less sweet for my taste,... Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars NOT a granola bar!, July 9, 2006
By
JKC45 (DeKalb, IL United States) - See all my reviews
I bought one box each of the raspberry/chocolate and hazelnut/chocolate bars looking for a healthy aternative to the grocery store granola bars that contain high fructose corn syrup. Somehow, I thought they would have a granola bar type of texture, but they aren't even close. My first reaction was that they had an unpleasant smell and funny aftertaste - but that was my first reaction to beer, too, and I managed to get over that. They are definitely an adult, acquired-taste kind of snack. Now I look forward to having one as a mid-afternoon snack, depending on what I've already eaten or plan to eat that day, because they are a fairly high calorie (276), high fat (15g) little treat. Probably their best contribution to one's overall diet is the protein (7 grams or 13% DV).

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than I expected!, February 27, 2007
By
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
These bars are quite good actually. They are chocolatey and you can taste the coconut and nuts, but they are not sickeningly sweet like most coconut & chocolate bars. Plus they are moist and the size of the bar is just right. If you are expecting a candy bar type item you will be disappointed - this is not dipped in chocolate, rather the chocolate is mixed right in. But if you're looking for a healthy snack that energizes you without the sugar burnout you get from other 'energy' bars then these are worth a try. I am quite pleased with them and am going to order some more.
